Visual Studio 2017 15.0-15.4
Visual Assist is not fully compatible with EditorConfig for C++ files using Visual Studio 2017 15.0-15.4. If you use EditorConfig in Visual Studio 2017, update to Visual Studio 2017 15.5 or newer.
If you use Visual Studio 2017 15.0-15.4 with EditorConfig, and the IDE attempts to service a C++ file that Visual Assist must open, Visual Studio may enter a deadlock state. Example features in which Visual Assist must open a file, hence might instigate a deadlock, include Create Declaration, Create Definition, and Rename.
